I’m Eva, a Bolivian-American, member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, wife, homeschooling mom, writer, singer, photographer, dancer, and survivor of eating disorders, depression, PTSD, and anxiety. Though I had a happy childhood, as an adult there were years I wanted to hurt myself because I was so low. I learned to rise up as I stayed close to God, wrote the songs and words He sent me, and held to His guidance. (You can read more on that specifically here.) I still have low moments, but I focus on taking care of myself and seeing God’s blessings. By having faith in Christ (and his timing!) I have hope and share hope.
The greatest good from our trials is being able to connect with others going through similar struggles so they know they’re not alone. We are stronger when we open up to each other and lift each other! I hope this site and its songs help you feel connected, loved, and lifted by fellow friends of faith and, more importantly, by your perfect big brother, Jesus Christ. I know that as we lift our thoughts above the stressful or sarcastic, and lift our voices in courageous testimony, we will learn to lift like Christ.
